Our Place Youth and Family Center to Distribute Food

Effective immediately: Due to liability, sanitation, and security issues, no one will be allowed on the premises until 5:30AM each week when the food bank is offered

Due to recent closures, layoffs, and economic hardships in our community, Our Place Youth and Family Center will be regularly distributing food. Families impacted by the economic downturn are welcome to come by, register, and pick up one box per household of non-perishable food items. Photo ID is required. You may only pick up a box of food for yourself with your ID. We no longer allow food to be picked up for someone who cannot be here. The program is being sponsored by Parsons & Wittemore Chairman George Landegger, owner of Alabama River Pulp Company.		This week's food distribution will be on Wednesday, July 28th from 7AM until 11AM or as long as supplies last. No one is allowed on the premises of OUR PLACE before 5:30am. At 5:30am the gates will be unlocked and you may begin parking and forming a line. The food distribution will continue each week on specified days and those interested should stay informed through regular radio notices, by checking this website, or by calling 743-8400. Our Place is located on Teen Trail, just off Agriculture Drive in Monroeville.
